<b>The Process and the People:</b></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
The approval from The Pontifical <span class="il">Council</span> for the Laity (PCL) was not the result of the work of a few months. The first meeting I had with the PCL was in Nov 2003 - where Mons. Delgado (the present Under-Secretary of PCL) clearly told me that going in for this process of approval was not 'optional’ but ‘mandatory’ if we had dreams of working globally. He advised me to start with the local recognition. </div>

The first concrete step for the approval was taken in December 2005 when we approached Bishop Thomas Chakiath - who took us to the Kerala Catholic Bishops' Conference (KCBC) meeting and presented the movement to KCBC on the 7th December 2005. The KCBC asked us to approach the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI), as our movement was functioning on a <span class="il">national</span> scale in India. Along with a covering letter from Archbishop Cyril Mar Baselios, we first approached the CBCI in this regard in January 2006. Following the submission of our statutes, the CBCI instructed us to submit the statutes to a local Bishop in Kerala as the movement originated here, specifically to Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil of the Syro-Malabar diocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. We approached His Eminence on 22nd January 2007, and he suggested in his letter dated 25th January 2007 that it would be better if we sought approval from a Bishop of the Latin rite as the movement had spread to a number of countries around the world. Hence we made a request and were given a letter of approval by Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara of Nagpur Archdiocese on 8th April 2007. On approaching the CBCI with this letter, we were once again advised to get a letter of recommendation from a local Latin Diocese in Kerala. Accordingly we sought and received a letter of approval from Archbishop Daniel Acharuparambil of Verapoly Archdiocese on 20th August 2007. We submitted the approval letters from both Archbishops to the CBCI and after several meetings, the CBCI approved our statutes and appointed His Grace Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara as the Ecclesiastical Advisor for Jesus Youth in India - in October 2008. This is a time when we must voice our heartfelt tributes to the late Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil, the Late Archbishop Daniel Acharuparambil and the Late Archbishop Cyril Mar Baselios who played key roles in the initial stages of this journey. </div>

We started the process of Pontifical Approval on 24th Aug 2009 at 4 p.m. in the Vatican. Here is the mail I sent soon after our meeting, with the subject “Another landmark in the history of Jesus Youth” </div>

<i><b>"Just a few minutes ago, we officially began the process of being recognised as an 'International Private Association of the Lay faithful with Pontifical right'. Four of us representing Jesus Youth led by Archbishop Abraham, Fr Chilton, George and a team of officials from PCL - led by Bishop Joseph Clemens, Msgr Delgado, Fr Kevin and Prof Guzman met in the official conference room. We had a beautiful meeting with them and submitted the documents (it was around 7kgs of materials including recommendation letters from 21 Bishops). They announced that the process has officially begun now. Praise God! The presence of Archbishop Abraham was a great blessing!”</b></i></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
We received the first response on 30 April 2010 from the PCL asking us to restructure and redraft the statutes in a given format. They recommended that we seek the advice of one of the listed Canon lawyers in Italy. We went to Milan and met one of them - but the cost involved was far beyond us. At that time, I heard about the dean of the Department of Canon Law of Santa Croce University in Rome - Fr Luis Navarro (one of the best Canon lawyers in the Church, especially for guiding movements). Several people told us that he was very busy and there was no point in approaching him. But with the help of Msgr Antony Kollamparambil, I met him and to my surprise Fr Navarro agreed to guide us! Looking back, I see this was one of the crucial moments in our journey towards recognition. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Back in Kerala, we approached two eminent Canon lawyers, Fr Alex Vadakumthala (Now Bishop of Kannur) and Fr George Madathikandathil (now Bishop of Kothamangalam) to help us in drafting the statutes according to the Code of Canon law (CIC) and code of Eastern Churches (CCEO). We took almost 3 years to prepare a new draft of the statutes - mainly because we wanted to put down what we live in the movement - we never wanted to write something and then try to adjust our lives accordingly. Between 2013 and 4th April 2016, we went through 6 revisions - each revision involving many prayerful discussions and consultations, always trying to follow His will. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
From the beginning to this very moment, it was a small team that worked together for drafting the statutes - Dr Edward (our incomparable master drafter) and Raiju. We had innumerable consultation meetings with Bishops, Priests and leaders over the last 11 years to format the drafts articulating the work of the Holy Spirit in this movement in the last 30+ years. The last three International teams - specially the last two teams under the leadership of George and Raiju contributed a lot in giving this a proper shape. C.C Joseph played a pivotal role along with the present <span class="il">Council</span> in running the final lap. Fr Pallivathukkal SJ, Fr Bitaju OSST, Fr Thomas Tharayil, Fr Cheriachan, Fr James Anaparampil, Fr Fio Mascarenhas SJ, Fr Shibu OCD, Fr Mathew Abraham CSSR, Babychayan, Sunil Nadarajan… (the list goes on) played key roles in guiding this drafting process. Msgr Antony Kollamparampil from Rome guided us and helped us with the right contacts, while Fr Chilton and Fr Tomy helped us in Rome to make this happen locally. Beena, Anu and Shelton helped us in editing the language.</div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Siju and Nolly, thank you for hosting us in your family whenever we travelled to Rome; serving food; taking us around for different meetings. May God continue to bless you! And our sincere thanks to our dear Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara - who accompanied us, guided us and blessed us with his wisdom and experience. Above all, I gratefully remember all the leaders in the movement - from the beginning till now - you gave your very lives for the growth of this movement because of your love for the Lord… Your commitment and sacrifices have gone a long way in making our movement what it is today...</div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 2px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Personal: </b></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Personally, this was a long journey for me. And coordinating the Canonical approval process was the only responsibility I accepted even during my sabbatical year break. It was a time to understand the wisdom, beauty and richness of the Church; it was a time when I closely witnessed the mysterious ways in which the Holy Spirit leads the ‘ one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church’; it was a time when I learned to be patient, and yet persistent and focused on this God given mission. There were moments of joy; there were disappointments (I still remember a 3.5 hour long, tough meeting I had at PCL from which I took a really long time to recover). There were too, moments of criticism, humiliation and pain mainly because many were not aware of the true meaning of being placed at the heart of the Church, of the importance of having a charismatic and dogmatic foundation; but I gladly accepted it knowing that this was the price I would have to pay in order to witness a greater victory! Looking back now, it is such a joy to see the hand of God opening closed doors, leading us step by step, helping us to grow in ecclesial maturity. I thank the leadership of the movement for the trust you have put in me; I thank my family for coping with my long absences from home; for bearing with the long meetings, conference calls and discussions. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px; min-height: 14px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
And thank you Lord, for another experience of the beauty of walking with you, assuring me over and over again that this is a movement that was born of your will within the Church for the mission of the Church and that you are in absolute control! The only thing I have to do is blindly follow you! </div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
I pray that every Jesus Youth may be transformed by the power of Pentecost and sent forth to be true ‘missionary disciples’ of Jesus, and that we may continue to be a Missionary Movement at the Service of the Church - in the fullness of its meaning. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px; min-height: 14px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Let His name be glorified!</div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">
God Bless, Manoj Sunny</div>

We live in a world where volunteerism is becoming fashionable. In any poor place, we can see hundreds of volunteers serving in that area. I have seen youngsters staying in a Catholic centre - helping children living on the streets. These youngsters are Catholics by birth but don’t practice their faith - they don’t go for Holy Mass even on Sundays - but they are whole heartedly involved in the work of charity. Is this the kind of charity that the Church looks for? I recently came across a few people from one of the parishes in Kerala who had made a visit to a mission centre in North India - their Facebook pages were full of photographs of them posing with helpless, struggling faces. I thought then that their compassion might last for just a few days. In the Jesus Youth movement, we have been using the phrase ‘Every Jesus Youth, a Missionary’ for the last two years. How can we distinguish between a visitor, a volunteer and a missionary especially in the context of the beautiful Lenten reflection written by our Holy Father on faith and charity?<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
First of all, a missionary’s work flows out of his relationship with God. It is not a project that needs to be completed; it is not for his satisfaction that he works; the fundamental reason is the love of God - as St. John states, “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us” (1 Jn. 4:16). “Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction… Since God has first loved us (cf. 1 Jn. 4:10), love is now no longer a mere command’; it is the response to the gift of love with which God draws near to us” (Deus Caritas Est, 1). “Faith is knowing the truth and adhering to it (cf. 1 Tim. 2:4); charity is ‘walking’ in the truth (cf. Eph. 4:15). Through faith we enter into friendship with the Lord, through charity this friendship is lived and cultivated (cf. Jn. 15:14ff). Faith causes us to embrace the commandment of our Lord and Master; charity gives us the happiness of putting it into practice (cf. Jn. 13:13-17). In faith we are begotten as children of God (cf. Jn. 1:12ff); charity causes us to persevere concretely in our divine Sonship, bearing the fruits of the Holy Spirit (cf. Gal. 5:22). Faith enables us to recognise the gifts that the good and generous God has entrusted to us; charity makes them fruitful (cf. Mt. 25:14-30)” (Lenten reflection by the Holy Father for Lent 2013).<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
A volunteer is often more concerned about providing for the physical needs of the people, bringing a temporary solution to their sufferings. But a missionary is concerned first of all about the souls of the people that he is serving. Being with the poor and caring for their physical needs are means to fulfil this genuine concern of love. That is where the Holy Father warns us in his Lenten message, “Sometimes we tend, in fact, to reduce the term “charity” to solidarity or simply humanitarian aid. It is important, however, to remember that the greatest work of charity is evangelization, which is the “ministry of the word”. There is no action more beneficial – and therefore more charitable – towards one’s neighbour than to break the bread of the Word of God, to share with him the Good News of the Gospel, to introduce him to a relationship with God”.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
For a missionary, the mentality is not “us and them” but only “us” because we are the Body of Christ - we share the brotherhood of Christ with them.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
Volunteering often brings satisfaction to the self that comes from serving others - the self satisfaction of doing good for others. Often, this can happen without truly getting involved in the sufferings of the poor. On the other hand, for a missionary, work involves suffering and a painful stripping off of vices.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
Once, during the course of a meeting I was attending, a young man who had just returned from a mission trip told us of the beautiful ways in which God had used him to touch the lives of the many poor and suffering people there. When his sharing was over, an elderly gentleman in the group who had been working for decades as a lay missionary said, “Son, I’d like to hear about the change that has come about in you as a result of this mission experience”. In the brief silence that followed, when the young man was struggling for words, I was convinced of an essential characteristic of a true missionary. For when a missionary returns home, his reflections mainly focus on how the trip transformed him internally. A volunteer, on the other hand, is more prone to talking about how the people and place changed as a result of his/her service.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
The Holy Father beautifully shows how the relationship of faith and charity resembles the relation between the two fundamental Sacraments of the Church: “Baptism and Eucharist. Baptism precedes the Eucharist, but is ordered to it, the Eucharist being the fullness of the Christian journey. In a similar way, faith precedes charity, but faith is genuine only if crowned by charity. Everything begins from the humble acceptance of faith (“knowing that one is loved by God”), but has to arrive at the truth of charity (“knowing how to love God and neighbour”), which remains forever, as the fulfilment of all the virtues (cf. 1 Cor. 13:13)”.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
I am sure that the Jesus Youth movement is looking only for missionaries – knowing that the journey can begin with a visitor who becomes a volunteer and then proceeds to the real call as a missionary. This, then, is the question we should all ask ourselves - “Am I a visitor, a volunteer or a missionary?”<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 15.984375px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">

speakers during the retreat were Cherian Ramapuram, Sunsun Jose, Rinu Thomas,
Liza, Zacharias Njavallil, Jude Francis, Mathew, Clifford Njavallil, Jose Antony
and Sharu. Fr. Roy helped the participants and volunteers by hearing their confessions
and supporting them with all the spiritual guidance that they required during
the retreat. The retreat ended with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Rinu and
Liza (from the retreat team) led the anointing adoration and were supported by
three sisters from the St. Theresa’s Novitiate convent and Fr. Roy. We were

training program kick started with an outreach to Swanthana; an institute run
by Daughters of St. Camillus, which houses children with special needs –
arising out of physical conditions that include being mentally and physically

Made in the Image and Likeness of God and Discipleship. This was facilitated by
C.C. Joseph. These sessions were highly interactive with a lot of question and
answer sessions in between. On the last day of the training, Jacob Jose handled
the concept of living by faith, gifts and talents and Theology of the Body
(relationships and how to keep our body holy).<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

the various prayer meetings in Bangalore. Fr. Vinoy, pastor of the Bangalore JY
Campus Ministry celebrated the final mass and commissioned the volunteers and participants.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><o:p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The
most anticipated (by participants and volunteers) part of the program would be
the adoration that happened every day. Zacharias Njavallil, Shibu Mammen, Rinu
and Liza, Alex, Pascal, Crispin and Sunsun led the adoration and made it a
cherished moment for everyone present. Another much awaited event during DTP
was celebrating the Holy Eucharist. Fr. Roy, Fr. John Chan, Fr. T.C. George and
Fr. Vinoy celebrated Holy Mass for the participants. During the training, we
had elders come and help the participants and volunteers in their journey with
Christ. Jessy (from the retreat team), Jacob Jose and Sunsun were the elders
who made themselves available, realizing the need of the people gathered for
DTP. In the words of a participant who went for Personal Sharing with an Elder,
“<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">I feel light after Sharing with the
Elder. I feel so light for having shared everything that I could fly. Thanks
for arranging this Personal Sharing</i>”.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><o:p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Another
main highlight of the program was the 24-hour intercession that happened at the
venue. Thanks to the program intercession team who took various initiatives to
have constant intercession. The intercession team took an initiative to keep a
prayer request box in the chapel where both participants and volunteers dropped
in their prayer requests. The sister’s of the convent also used this
opportunity to share their prayer requests and the people sitting for
intercession read every request and interceded for it. A few people even came
forward and shared that their request had been answered. One participant had
put in a request to pass her engineering exams. She got her results during the
DTP and she shared that she had passed with very high marks.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><o:p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The
entire DTP was time for miracles and blessings for all the people who were
attending the program as participants and volunteers. To list a few, there were
a few volunteers who were searching for new jobs and during the program they
received calls from various companies and one person even got the offer letter
from the dream company. There was a participant who had been a drug addict for
past three years. The participant was off drugs during the entire program and
after the program too. There were a few volunteers who were experiencing
difficulties at workplace. During the program the difficulties were sorted out
after a very long time.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><o:p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;">
<span style="color: black; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Indeed
the entire DTP was a blessed experience to one and all present at the venue.
This wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the constant support of the
Bangalore Service team, under the guidance of John Joseph and Shibu Mammen; and
the support of the Karnataka Campus team, through the constant support from
Jims and Sunitha. I would also like to thank Rajesh Raphail who helped us find
priests to celebrate mass for everyone present at the venue and who made time
to interact with the participants and share their experience with one and all
present. Volunteers, the backbone of DTP – without them we wouldn’t have been
able to conduct the program. I want to specially thank the volunteers who made
it a point to come for intercession at night, after finishing a hectic day at
work. They would intercede in the night and go back to work the next morning. Truly
it was a blessed program where everything was controlled and executed by God.
With the help of the Holy Spirit we were able to re-work on the entire program
and tailor make it to meet the requirements. The Holy Spirit was a constant
source of inspiration, support and guidance to all the volunteers who worked to
make this program a grand success. I would take this opportunity to thank God
for blessing us abundantly, all through the program.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">“Let your
light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your
Father in heaven” – Matthew 5:16 Crossroads, the DTP for the campus students
was a blessing beyond measure. It all started off with the intention of
building leaders for Christ in the campus and be genuine witnesses for Him. And
it turned out to be a lot above our imagination. <o:p></o:p></span></span></i></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Crossroads
had 15 participants from across 4 colleges from Bangalore. After a lot of
struggle in getting venue for Crossroads, we were able to get St. Theresa’s
Novitiate in Whitefield. With the sisters being there for the constant help, we
had a very good environment for the DTP! <o:p></o:p></span></span></i></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The first
three days (25 th – 27 th May) the DTPians attended a silent growth retreat
which was handled by Alex Njavallil with the help of Cherian Ramapuram, Sunsun Jose,
Rinu Thomas, Liza, Zacharias Njavallil, Jude Francis and Mathew being the key
resources. Fr. Roy and Fr. Joy were present during the retreat to help us with
confessions and Holy Mass and the Final Anointing Prayer. <o:p></o:p></span></span></i></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;">The retreat
was backed up with a 4-day training which highlighted true Christian
relationship and fellowship (which dealt with the understanding of Me and God,
Me and the world and failures in relationships) the call for evangelization,
the know-how of being evangelists and the Church’s opinion on new
evangelization. This was a two- day ordeal which was handled by Dony Peter. It
was a very Question- answer based session which led to a lot of interaction and
opening up from the participants. There were two Evangelization outreaches to Forum
value mall and Phoenix mall respectively. </span></i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The third
day was completely mission oriented. We headed out to Svanthana, run by
Daughters of St. Camillus which houses children with special needs, arising out
of physical conditions that include being mentally and physically challenged. A
session by the Superior of the Novitiate on the need for having a personal
mission helped the DTPians to have a clear idea of mission and the dire need of
missionaries for the Mother Church. There was a workshop on music ministry and
an orientation on adoration during the day. Jacob Jose handled the concept of
living by faith, gifts and talents and Theology of the Body the succeeding day.
<o:p></o:p></span></span></i></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The final
day concentrated campus ministry and an interaction with Jose Sebastian gave
clear ideas our responsibilities and roles we are called to play enlightened
the new disciples of Christ. An open discussion with the key leaders of the
region and the national campus team and a couple of sessions on the dream of
the ministry by John Joseph and Shastha on how we can be a part of it lead to
finding avenues where we could contribute in building His Kingdom. <o:p></o:p></span></span></i></div>
<br />
<div class="Default" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"><i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;">All of this
wouldn’t have happened without the 24-hr intercession we had during the entire
DTP. For most of us volunteers, it was getting out of our comfort zones and
working for the Lord. Rather than trusting in our capabilities, it was being
prudent to the call of the Holy Spirit and being available for the Lord. We
could see the Lord working through us and sharing His Love in the process and
making us believe through all the trials and troubles that <b>‘He is always in
Control.’ </b></span></i><span style="color: windowtext; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<br />

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">We thought of sharing our beautiful experience on Blossom, a one day program for all the children who are being supported from Bangalore through OCS. The very vision of OCS is not just to provide financial help to children, but also to enable their holistic development- one such platform is Blossom.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">We thank our Almighty Father, for His Blessings, which helped us organize the entire program, (which was once our distant dream).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">The program was held on the 28th of April, 2013 in the Philosophy block of Dharmaram. It was organized in five streams - Parents, 8th to 12th students, 4th to 7th students, LKG to 3rdstudents and sponsors. There were about 150 people in total for the program. Thanks to the never ending efforts of Cecil for coordinating the entire mobilization, and ensuring that all of them reached on time by arranging transportation, which was a humongous task. Once they reached the venue, registrations were done-where we even got their information rectified.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">The program was organized in Kannada, for which we had speakers from across Karnataka (Aldrin, Prince, Manjula) who shared their beautiful insights to all the participants and volunteers. Parents were so happy to have attended such a program as it was an eye opener to them in many areas (Parenting, addiction, expressing love to their children etc). And they were glad that they heard such beautiful talks, which they told us, was encouraging them to educate others in their neighborhood as well. All the more, parents were so much moved and were thankful to all the OCS volunteers for having organized such a beautiful program for them and their children.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Some parents thought it was a program for kids and their role would be nothing much otherwise from accompanying their children, towards the end they realized it was organized mainly for them as they were the people who need to support and motivate their children in becoming what they want to be. We also set apart some time for parents to share their concerns, regarding the support they were getting.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">All the children enjoyed the program as it was filled with thoughtful activities, fun filled games and insightful sessions. The high school children were given talks about what is their purpose in life, and what is their call as a student and as a responsible child. They were also guided how they can achieve their dreams, which they shared. Finally a session on the importance of education and how to study in the situation they are in (<b>bloom where they are planted</b>) along with some exam tips.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Children were so inspired that towards the end of the program, some of them promised that once they grow up, they will make sure to support at least 4 children.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">The upper primary kids were given important talks on how and what to dream, and how to achieve them along with the importance of education. Volunteers organized many games along with music so that children were always energetic and cheerful. A beautiful session on how to be a good child at home and school was also given to them.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">The younger kids up to class 3 were engaged throughout the program by energetic volunteers with a lot of games, moral stories, action songs, etc.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">The sponsors and the well-wishers of OCS had a gathering during the latter half of the day, during which they were discussing- the need for volunteers, OCS activities till date, some policy changes, how to fulfill the vision of OCS, etc. Thanks to the Director-OCS, Subin Jacob for facilitating the same.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: #500050; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"></span> </div>

The recently concluded <b>6 Day Summer Camp</b>for Teen’s was demonstrating this closeness to the Vision.<u></u><u></u></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">For us Jesus Youth, the Jubilee was a time of special grace for everyone in the movement, during the course of which there were numerous occasions to reflect on the call and mission of being a Jesus Youth. The declaration of the <b>Year of Faith</b> has been most eagerly welcomed in the Jesus Youth movement as a God-given opportunity for ‘fostering the graces received during the Jubilee’.<u></u><u></u></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">In this context, Jesus Youth is initiating a series of regional conferences titled “<b>Faith Conference 2013</b>” across the country, with the central theme “Faith’. The conference in the region of Karnataka will be held from the <b>25th </b>(<b>8:30am</b>)<b> </b>to <b>27th </b>of <b>January</b>, <b>2013</b> (<b>5:00pm</b>) at the <b>Apostolic Carmel Generalate </b>(behind Sagar Hospital on Banerghata Road),<b> Bangalore</b>. This 3 day Conference will be based on the theme "<b>Know the Faith</b>", "<b>Live the Faith</b>" and "<b>Share the Faith</b>".<u></u></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">Accompanying youth on their journey of faith has been the favored mission of the Jesus Youth movement and this conference would enable the participants to know more and re-discover their Faith. Around 800 to 1000 Jesus Youth from across Karnataka are expected to participate in this conference.<u></u><u></u></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">It is with much thirst and dreams for the Lord that we host this program in Bangalore. The program is organized in three streams – <b>for youth in English</b>, <b>for youth in Kannada</b> and <b>for families</b>. We have even organized a Kids Care centre to take care of the children during the Conference days.<u></u><u></u></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">What were some of the changes
that the Council brought about? Many of our attitudes, many of the things that
today we take for granted, came about as a consequence of Vatican 2. There are
far, far too many things that could be mentioned – and here are just a few.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">

<b><u><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">1. The Church itself -
Vatican 2 redefined, re-imaged the Church</span></u></b><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">

Christendom at the time of the Reformation ( 400 years earlier ) the Catholic
Church had become very inward looking, had become reactionary and had withdrawn
itself from the world. It had seen itself, referred to itself, as a ‘perfect
society’. In reacting to what had happened at the Reformation, it had become a
fortress Church – withdrawn, pulled up draw bridges, isolated.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">The Council pushed the Church
back into the world. It used ancient biblical images to redefine the Church –
People of God, the Body of Christ, the Edifice of God, the sheepfold, the
community of believers. Instead of portraying the Church as a perfect society,
it redefined the Church as a community of those believers who are on a
pilgrimage, sharing ‘the joys, the hopes and the anxieties’ of humankind.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">The Council said that the
Church was the People of God – it was a community of all the baptised, both
laity and their pastors. “The Church is a priestly people, it is like a pilgrim
in a foreign land, and it presses forward amid the persecutions of the world,
announcing the cross and death of the Lord until he comes.”</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span> </div>
<br />
<div style="background: white;">
<b><u><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">2. Laity</span></u></b><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">

– you end up redefining those who make up the organisation. So we saw in
Vatican 2 a new place for the laity. The Church was to be less clerical. All
are equal members by Christian Baptism. Roles may differ, but Baptism is the
key sacrament and makes all of us members of the Church. “All are called to be
holy.” Prior to the Council if you wanted to be holy you left the world, you
became a priest or entered a religious order. All can be holy in the world.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">The role of women has changed.
They are regarded as equal with men in the lay state. Women today however
challenge the Church towards continuing progress and development. We have seen
much more lay involvement in the Church. The laity are key to the Church’s
mission, because they live in the heart of the modern world and work in its
engine rooms. 99% of the Church is made up of lay people.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">Since the Council there is a
huge increase in ministries in the Church. Council reminded us that ministry is
rooted in Baptism not Holy Orders. Today the laity is absolutely vital to every
enterprise of the Church.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">

of all came about in regard to the way in which the Church goes about worship.
Prior to the Council, most saw the liturgy as the domain of the clergy or the
priest. Over time, the liturgy had become clericalised. The laity had become
passive spectators saying their prayers and devotions. The Council decreed in
that famous text, that in regard to its worship, the Church desired nothing
less ‘than the full, active and conscious participation of the faithful’. The
Council ordered a complete revision of the way that all of the sacraments were
celebrated. As a consequence – in 1970 – we finally got a whole new way of
celebrating the Eucharist.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">We can recall how altars were
turned to face the people, and Latin was replaced with local language. At the
time many thought that these were brand new ideas. They weren’t new at all. The
Church was just going back to an earlier tradition of how it conducted the
liturgy. Our liturgy today is a lot less clerical, for we now understand that
liturgy is essentially the work of the people.</span></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span> </div>

<b><u><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">4. Ecumenism</span></u></b><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinJGZuMCfAq8niB570u_1bf10k21W96jmesIh6nOfsjouj0Tcd9jAStFcIoyrZiqY7r4DdeC8njRAk8wi7RVauTizgz39BLANRlUddv5WISwbojcSwufCYDIUjxFyQkN_jHTQgeThbMTq7/s1600/oecumenisme1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinJGZuMCfAq8niB570u_1bf10k21W96jmesIh6nOfsjouj0Tcd9jAStFcIoyrZiqY7r4DdeC8njRAk8wi7RVauTizgz39BLANRlUddv5WISwbojcSwufCYDIUjxFyQkN_jHTQgeThbMTq7/s320/oecumenisme1.jpg" width="320" /></a><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">One area in which the Council
brought about great change was in its understanding and relationship with other
Churches. Prior to the Council it was hoped that Protestants would return to
the ‘one, true Church’ and that the Orthodox schism would end. In the decades
before the Council, Protestants had become more and more involved in what had
come to be called the ‘Ecumenical Movement’. The World Council of Churches had
been founded and there had been many mergers of churches. All of these moves
expressed a hope for unity among the Christian Churches. But the Roman Catholic
Church remained aloof from all of this.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">And then came Pope John who
called his Ecumenical Council. He immediately set about inviting the separated
communities to send delegations. He showed how important they were by insisting
that they be seated in the front of St Peter’s just across the aisle from the
patriarchs and cardinals. Until Vatican 2, we as Catholics didn’t recognise the
other Christian Churches. We saw them as heretics and schismatics. At Vatican 2
we recognised the validity of their Baptism and the Council demanded that we
look upon these communities as ecclesial, and that the members of these
churches were indeed ‘our brothers and sisters in Christ’. A revolution!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background: white; orphans: 2; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;">When Pope Paul VI took over the
Council after John’s death, he spent a great deal of time in his opening speech
at the Council’s second session on the subject of Christian unity. Christ
willed and desired that his Church be one. The ecumenical movement and the
desire for Christian unity continue to our own time. It is a work in progress.
We must, as Christians, pray and work that all who believe in Jesus may be one.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<u><b>THE COUNCIL BEGINS</b></u></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The following is an excerpt from an author giving an account
of the Council’s grand opening ceremony in Rome: Pope John was 81 years of age
when, on a marvellous October morning in 1962, he was carried on his sedia
gestatoria into St Peter’s. His face was wet with tears. Never had the papacy
been so high in public esteem. If all popes were like him, it was said,
everyone would be lining up to be a Catholic. He personified the phrase of
Horace, ‘Nothing prevents one from telling the truth with a smile on one’s
face.’ The Council showed that even a pope was prepared to listen and learn.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In his opening address, he made it plain that the Church was
not to heed the prophets of doom. The Church had to update herself radically,
and without fear. The cold war of the churches, as far as Rome was concerned
was over. There were to be no anathemas; instead, a return to the Gospel of the
Master, Jesus Christ. The presence of non-Catholic observers in the aula was a
sign of the Church’s change of heart.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The historian McBrien says of Pope John. ‘In a period of
less than 5 years he almost single-handedly transformed the Catholic Church
from a clericalistic, monarchical, unecumenical and theologically rigid body to
a community of radical equality in Christ – laity, religious and clergy alike,
open to dialogue and collaboration with other Christian and non-Christian
communities with non-believers, and with the world at large.’</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And there’s another beautiful story told of this
ever-so-human pope. It’s a story that you still hear in Rome and that you read
over and over in any writing about this man. It goes, that on the night of
October 11, 1962, the night of the opening of the Second Vatican Council,
something like half a million people gathered in St Peter’s Square below the Pope’s
bedroom window. The crowd chanted and sang. The aim was to bring Pope John to
his window. And on the night of the greatest day of his life, he rewarded their
singing and chanting by appearing at his window. He called out to them,
“Children, I hear your voices,” and then he went on to explain to this mixed
gathering his hopes for the Council. One historian I read says that the event
was very well recorded in the Roman papers the next day and from that moment
the skeptical Romans were totally converted to his Council. When he
finished his explanation of the Council, he said to the crowd. “Now go back
home, and give your little children a kiss – and tell them it’s from Pope
John.” As one commentator put it: “You could almost touch the emotion. The ‘patriarch’
gave and generated love with all his being.”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
At the time of its opening session, Pope John was a sick
man, with cancer. He died on 3rd June the following year, as a never-before
worldwide audience prayed and journeyed with him in his final days. He had
become universally loved like no pope before him.</div>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;">On 11 October 2012 – our Church celebrated the 50th
anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It would be a great pity if such an anniversary were to pass
us by without comment or reflection on why the Council was convened, and what
it achieved.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"></span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The Second Vatican Council was a huge event in Catholic
life. Many have referred to it over the decades as a tsunami. It certainly was,
in the sense that it changed and altered Catholic life in a dramatic way.</span><br />

<br /></span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Pope John XXIII (now Blessed John XXIII) the initiator of
the Council, preferred to call the Council “a new Pentecost”. It was his
dearest hope that the Council would be a new springtime in the life of the
Church. The Council was presided over by two outstanding Church leaders- Pope
John XXIII and Pope Paul VI. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">John had been pope for less than ninety days when, even to
the surprise of those closest to him, he called the Church into Council. The
last General Council of the Church had been held in 1870. Pope John realised
that the world of the sixties was indeed a very different world.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Let us dwell for a few moments on Pope John because he was
by all accounts an extraordinary person. John XIII enjoyed a short pontificate,
and his decision to call a Council was responsible for initiating a period of
change in our Church that continues to this day.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Whatever author you read in regard to Pope John, he was
obviously a man who trusted deeply in God. He was a charismatic man, a man of
simplicity and humour and shrewd wisdom. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">His only wish was to draw people to God. He continually
reached out to all – both those within the Church and beyond, with a message of
peace, renewal and reconciliation. His vision was to bring the </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Church back to the gospel of Jesus Christ As one author puts
it … “he was that rare phenomenon; a charistmatic Christian in a hierarchical
position.” </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">What he did, was what he was! John XXIII knew the
inevitability of change & development. He was an historian by training, and
history had taught him - as it can teach us - that nothing is unalterable. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Pope John’s profound faith in God, his great love for the
Church and for all humanity, together with his historical perspective, led him
to change the course of the Catholic Church irreversibly. </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Good Pope John - as he was affectionately known and is still
called - desired that his Council would have wide aspirations and that it would
be pastoral. It would not be a Council that condemned. John saw himself
essentially as a pastor, as a shepherd, who wanted to bring everyone with his
embrace.</span></div>

Dear friends,<br />
<br />
<br />
Want to thank you all for your prayers and support for the Marian Eve on the 27th. The program went really well by the Lord's grace. It was held in Maria Bhavan (Montfort Fathers) near RRC.<br />
<br />
We had a crowd of around 50-60 people, if I am not wrong with mostly families and a lot of kids :-). We were truly blessed to have Father Souri Raj (OSM) with us. He spoke beautifully about Mother Mary and though we just had one hour to listen to his words, we truly wished that we could hear him even more. He had a lot to speak about our Dear Mother. It was his second experience with Jesus Youth, the first being last month in Chennai. He is a good resource to call for any program.<br />
<br />
The Rosary procession was beautiful, especially to see the little children proudly holding their candles and praying. Though everything was planned within a short span of time, things turned out well at the end.<br />
<br />
There were a lot of kids running around and it was a joy watching them enjoy the refreshments and everyone had a good time of interaction. There were a lot of Marian books and CDs displayed for sale by our Montfort fathers and there were really happy to see us. Fr.Joseph appreciated all our efforts and assured his prayers for our movement.<br />
<br />
A few photos are attached.<br />
<br />
Our love for Mother Mary has greatly deepened through this program. Thank you dear Mother, for watching over us and praying for us.<br />
<br />
Let us continue to pray for our Jesus Youth family and ask for Her special intercession.<br />
<br />
Be with us Mary along the way<br />
Guide every step we take<br />
Lead us to Jesus your Loving Son<br />
Come with us Mary, come.<br />
<br />
With prayers,<br />
Anne Mary.<br />
